This product has been manufactured in licenced premises using quality assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions and conforms to the requirements of the relevant legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs. Equine America monitors for the presence of specified naturally occurring prohibited substances (NOPS) as required by affiliated competitions which are in line with BETA NOPS guidelines. Adherence to these guidelines ensures that the risk of occurrence of such substances is minimised.
Nettle, Marigold & Cleavers herbal blend may gently support normal lymph function, soothe agitated skin, and support skin regeneration. Ideal for heavily feathered horses.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids are essential for management of itchy skin disorders and may provide support for normal inflammatory responses.
Chelated Copper, Chelated Zinc & Organic Selenium Copper is essential for melanin production and collagen synthesis, producing a vibrant and healthy coat. Zinc is also involved in collagen synthesis and promoting production of new skin cells, promoting resilient skin and skin healing. Selenium benefits skin health through its antioxidant properties and ability to help defend the skin from UV irradiation-induced oxidative stress.
MSM is a bioavailable source of sulphur which plays an important role in the production of keratin, as well as providing support for the horse’s own anti-inflammatory processes.
Vitamin A is a major nutrient for skin health, regulating new skin cell production and helping with repair of UV irradiation-damaged skin. Vitamin D is essential for healthy and comfortable skin. Vitamin K plays a key role in skin regeneration and elasticity. Whilst pasture is a good source of these vitamins, many horses are on limited or restricted grazing with increased reliance on dried forages where vitamin content is significantly lower.
Vitamin B6 supports formation of new skin cells and balances production of natural oils produced by the skin.
Biotin is a master builder vitamin that is essential for skin health and quality of coat condition.
Methionine is an essential amino acid that plays a vital role in collagen production and nourishes hair, producing a smooth coat.
Antioxidant Support with Vitamin C and Natural RRR Vitamin E providing a level of antioxidant support for skin health and support of normal inflammatory responses.

Directions for Use:
Skin-Gard is a complementary feed that may support healthy skin and coat in horses, as part of a balanced diet. For typical 500kg horse: 50g per day. Maximum of 50g per day. Suitable for youngstock at a reduced serving rate.
