Wendi Williamson

Wendi Williamson is one of New Zealand’s leading dressage riders and trainers, based in Waimauku, northwest of Auckland. She operates a busy training and competition stable with a team of young riders who assist with producing and competing both their own horses and Wendi’s. Currently, the stable has 20 horses in full work and a total of 35 on the farm, including youngstock carefully reared as future sport horses. Every horse is trained from the very beginning, ensuring consistency and quality in their development.

This season, Wendi competes with her established Grand Prix partner, Don Vito MH, along with two other FEI horses — one making the step up to the big tour and another debuting at the small tour. Alongside these, she is producing a string of talented youngsters, while her team of riders brings the next generation of horses through the preliminary and novice levels.

Wendi places great importance on maintaining the health, recovery, and well-being of her horses, which is why she relies on Equine America supplements as part of her daily program.

  • Recovery is a key part of her management for upper-level horses, helping to support joint health and reduce inflammation from the demands of training and competition.

  • Ventilator plays an essential role for horses prone to environmental allergens, particularly important in Waimauku’s warm, damp climate where pollen levels are high. Just one scoop each night makes a visible difference to her sensitive horses.

  • Buteless is another favourite, used to assist with inflammation and proving invaluable before and during travel and competition.

“Keeping my horses feeling their best is what allows them to perform at their best. Equine America products are an essential part of that, and I trust them completely.” – Wendi Williamson
