Tristan Thomas

Tristan Thomas is a 26-year-old competitive show jumper and show hunter rider based in Rerewhakaaitu, south of Rotorua. He produces young horses and competes up to Grand Prix and Premier League level.

Last year, his 8-year-old bay mare, Matai Zarite, won the ESNZ 8-Year-Old Series, stepped up to Grand Prix and Premier League, and placed in all six of her starts. She also placed 3rd in the Cavallino Silver Fern Stakes and 6th in the Olympic Cup. This season, Tristan aims to step up with Matai Zarite and compete in their first World Cup class together.

He also has two exciting youngsters, Dario II and Zamirah, who are set to start in the 6-Year-Old and 5-Year-Old classes, respectively, as part of his ongoing focus on producing the next generation of competition horses.
