- PROFESSION: Show Jumping
ALEX
Born and raised in Singapore, Alex and her family moved to New Zealand in 2014. Alex manages Hammond Equestrian with her sister Nicola and works at Cambridge Grains in the afternoon. She is a Show Jumper competing at Young Rider/Mini Prix(1.30m-1.40m) with her Gelding Le Bam. Her goals for this season are to focus on the Young Rider series and FEI CSI1* 1.40m classes. She is excited to also have her 4 year old mare Flossie, who is by Balou Du Rouet on the team! Alex’s long term goals with her are to produce her through the grades successfully.
Equine America’s wide range of highly researched products made the decision of what brand to supplement her horses with very easy. “My horses health is one of my biggest priorities, so feeding them quality products that work is very important so that they can perform at their best at all times”
Her top 3 favourite products are; Cortaflex HA Super Fenn Powder, ProPell Plus and AppleLytes.
NICOLA
Nicola was born in Singapore and first started riding when she was eight while living in Hong Kong, and moved to New Zealand in 2015. She competes successfully at Young Rider & Grand Prix with regular wins and placings, and has recently stepped up to World Cup level. Nicola has also competed internationally for Singapore multiple times and most recently placed 1st and 3rd in classes at the CSIO-Y Beijing in 2018. Nicola is also a full time coach at St Peter’s School Cambridge at the Equestrian Academy. She is also a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar at the University of Waikato, studying a Bachelor of Social Science.
Equine America has such a wide range of high quality and effective products! My personal favourites are the Cortaflex HA powder for keeping the team’s joints healthy, ProPell Plus solution for giving them that extra boost during competition season, and No More Moods solution for making the mares a lot more manageable!
