Chelsea Callaghan

Chelsea CallaghanI am a grand prix dressage rider from Ohariu Valley, Wellington. I am probably best known for my partnership with my Friesian x Warmblood, Sisters II Etta J, who I started competing as a 4 year old and have trained through to Grand Prix. Etta has developed a little fan club of her own throughout the 10 years we have been competing together, I think she stands out in the crowd as she is not your typical Grand Prix dressage breed but has been so competitive in every level. Some notable highlights from our journey together have been winning the Prix St George at Horse of the Year 2019 to the following year winning the FEI Small Tour Title at Horse of the Year 2020. We were also selected for the NZL team for the FEI World dressage challenge 2020 where the team came 1st, we individually placed 1st in NZ and 2nd overall. Alongside Etta, I also have a 5 year old mare at home, Kismaayu Fidealia, who I am training. Outside of horses I am a dressage coach to many of the local riders in my area and will be launching my own riding school in October 2023.

I have been using Equine America products for the last 3 years, we started Etta on the Cortaflex HA Regular Powder, and then transitioned on to the Cortaflex HA Super Fenn Powder as she has developed into the Grand Prix work. I also use BLS Super Strength powder which has been absolutely vital to Etta’s performance at a three day show. And have had amazing benefits from using the Super So Kalm powder on my young horse when taking her out and about. I always highly recommend these products to all my clients because I wouldn't be able to do what I do without them!
